You'll discover one of Charlie's goals in the National Parks Explorer series is to honor his K.I.N.D. Club pledge. The pledge is an underlying theme in all of the books published by Red Ribbit Reads. The intention is to motivate kids to get outside and explore the amazing world we live in, be it in a National or State Park, Wildlife Refuge or National Forest. Take the time to observe and appreciate the animals and plants that inhabit the areas you visit, and remember to follow the NPS guidelines of "leave no trace" (leave any area cleaner than you found it).
